Thank you for visiting my autobiography.
When I first began writing these memories, I simply wanted to leave a record for my family. As the story unfolded, I realised my life had been filled with far more adventure than I had ever appreciated—from growing up in wartime England and serving in the Merchant Navy, to building a new life in New Zealand and Australia.
There have been moments of joy and sadness, success and disappointment, above all, a lifetime enriched by family, friendship and love.
I hope these stories bring back memories for those who shared parts of my journey and perhaps offer a little inspiration to those beginning their own.
